Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa

This visa allows people who have lived and worked in designated regional areas of Australia on an eligible visa, live and work in Australia permanently. Applicants must have complied with the conditions of their eligible visa.


Eligibility

  • Hold an eligible visa for at least three years. An eligible visa is a subclass 491 or subclass 494 visa.
  • Provide notices of assessment issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for three income years out of the five years of your eligible visa. There is no minimum income requirement.
  • Have complied with the conditions of the eligible visa you hold or have held.
  • No prior visa cancellation or refusals.
  • Pay back debt to Australian government.
  • Meet the Health and Character requirements.

Cost

  • The visa costs AUD490.00 for the main applicant.
  • The visa costs AUD245.00 for each additional applicant who is at least 18.
  • The visa costs AUD125.00 for each additional applicant who is less than 18.
  • You might also have to pay other costs for health checks, police certificates and biometrics.

Location

At the time of application, applicant can be in or outside Australia.

  • Digital Passport-sized photographs of all included in the application
